Artist Spotlight: RPO Brass Quintet

The RPO Brass Quintet was formed in 1969 to engage students in exploring the educational benefits of the area's major symphony orchestra. This versatile group has performed full brass recitals, educa-tional concerts and commencement ceremonies for area high schools and colleges. Series appearances include the Rochester City Hall Atrium concerts, the Nazareth College concert series and Noontime at Hochstein broadcasts. Members Mark Kellogg (trombone), Doug Prosser (trumpet), Herb Smith (trumpet), Randall Montgomery (tuba) and Dave Angus (French horn) are all active teachers and recitalists.
